Founded in 2014, Colored Criticism expands the narrative around art and cultural heritage. Our web series launched in 2015, along with social media and in-person events. Our team works to cultivate a multiracial audience of arts lovers with foundations, museums, universities, and cultural institutions.
Colored Criticism engages Millennials in the arts through cultural heritage. Millennials are the most ethnically diverse generation in American history, as 43% of Millennial adults are non-white. We explore the art that resonates most with this audience – experiences that reflect their international, multilingual, and multiracial heritage.
The Colored Criticism series is a fiscally sponsored project of New York Foundation for the Arts. Our advisory board and production consultants made this all possible.
